Pet Surgical Services
When your pet requires surgical care, trust Lindale Veterinary Clinic for gentle, compassionate service guided by strict safety protocols at every step.
Pet Spay & Neuter
Spaying (overiohysterectomy) refers to the surgical procedure performed on female dogs and cats to render them infertile. By spaying your female pet, you will contribute to the prevention of pet overpopulation. Spaying will also eliminate the sometimes messy heat cycles that attract male dogs to your house from miles away. The procedure will even help prevent diseases in your pet, such as pyometra (i.e., a life-threatening infection in the uterus) and mammary (i.e., breast) cancer.
Neutering (orchiectomy) refers to the surgical procedure performed on male dogs and cats to render them infertile. Like spaying, neutering your male pet contributes to the prevention of pet overpopulation and helps prevent diseases in your pet, such as prostate disease and testicular cancer. The surgery also helps eliminate undesirable and sometimes destructive behavior.
Soft Tissue Surgery
Soft tissue surgery refers to procedures that are not associated with the bone. A few examples include:
-
Lump or Mass Removals
-
Foreign Object Removal
-
Splenectomy
-
Pyometra
-
Laceration Repair
-
Aural Hematoma

Pet Endoscopy
Sometimes in medicine, it is important to “take a peek” at something. An endoscopy allows us to have an internal look at your pet non-invasively. We can look inside a nose to see the cause of a chronic nasal discharge, as well as remove some foreign objects from your pet’s stomach. We can also look at a liver and take a biopsy through a tiny incision. Dr. Chuck Lay’s goal is to use technology to obtain the safest and most rapid diagnosis available for your pet.
